After serving, coming back to your community and staying connected with your community is challenging. It’s understandable if you’re facing adjustment and/or mental health difficulties. We’re here to help you re-build your connections. We’re offering innovative and integrative wellness tools to foster connection not only to your community, but also to your mind, body, and soul.

Joining this Program Can Help With:

  • Increased Peer & Social Connectedness
  • Decrease in PTSD Symptoms
  • Improved Mental Health & Well-Being
  • Increased Mindfulness & Presence

This 12-week program is divided into two components.

Part one is in-person at Brock University with the following sessions: Peer-Based Speaker Panel, Trauma Education, Yoga, Breathwork and Sound Healing, Peer Reflection Circle.

Part two of this program will be held virtually, on Wednesday evenings between the hours of 7:00pm-8:30pm. These virtual sessions will include Weekly Wellness Practice Sessions.

The program is developed in partnership with a community-based charity, Boots on the Ground, and academic institution, Brock University, and will be delivered by licensed mental health professionals, as well as trained peer support workers. This program is funded by True Patriot Love, Canada’s Foundation for the military community, which works to support military members, Veterans, and their families at every stage of their journey.
